IFAT Eurasia & TÜRKTAY Collaboration Continues
IFAT Eurasia will take part as a Silver Sponsor at the 15th TÜRKTAY, to be held on October 15–16, 2025 at Ankara HiltonSA, under the main theme of “Waste Strategies in the Climate Economy.”
Namık Sarıgöl, Exhibitions Director at EKO Fuarcılık and Member of the Executive Committee of the 15th TÜRKTAY, commented on the upcoming event:
“Through IFAT Eurasia, which we have been organizing since 2015, we strive to bring together the key stakeholders of the environmental technologies sector under one roof. Today, the prestige of our exhibition is firmly established. Increasing population and urbanization are steadily driving demand for environmental solutions not only in Türkiye but across the entire Eurasian region. In a period when climate change continues to raise red flags, the adoption of innovative environmental technologies has become essential for developing sustainable solutions.”
Stressing the importance of meeting with industry stakeholders at the annually held TÜRKTAY, Sarıgöl continued:
“Since 2010, TÜRKTAY has provided a platform where the challenges faced by the waste management sector are openly discussed, solutions are explored, and development proposals across various sub-sectors are presented. The event also plays an important role in promoting the adoption of circular economy principles and the green transition. We attach great importance to coming together with the key stakeholders of our sector, including theorists, field practitioners, and public representatives. Presentations by senior officials from the public sector, industry, and academia offer valuable insights into the latest developments in the field and create a strong environment for high-quality knowledge exchange.”
Sarıgöl stated that the 15th TÜRKTAY, organized under the main theme “Waste Strategies in the Climate Economy,” will focus on demonstrating that the waste industry represents both an ecological and an economic solution.
“Through sessions addressing issues such as carbon emissions, natural resource consumption, green development mechanisms, and waste import and export policies, we aim to underline once again that while seeking solutions to environmental challenges, it is also possible to strengthen our economy by creating employment, reducing the foreign currency deficit, and saving raw materials and energy. At TÜRKTAY this year, we will examine the future of waste with a comprehensive and holistic perspective.”
Sarıgöl concluded his remarks by highlighting the role of IFAT Eurasia in the sector:
“IFAT Eurasia is a powerful platform that brings together national and international stakeholders across the environmental technology sub-sectors, enabling access to solutions that meet global standards and paving the way for international cooperation. The 2027 edition will once again reinforce this strong position.”
At its 2025 edition held at Tüyap, IFAT Eurasia further consolidated its claim as the Leading Fair for Environmental Technologies in the Eurasian region, welcoming nearly 10,000 professional visitors from 74 countries and 240 exhibiting companies from 14 countries. Featuring a wide range of environmental technology applications and solutions—particularly in water, wastewater, and solid waste management—the fair continues to position Türkiye as a regional center of attraction while enhancing the country’s visibility on the global stage.
